About

As well as Bosta Beach, Iron Age house and the Museum and Cafe at the community Centre there are plenty of other reasons to visit Bernera.
There are plenty of good views to be had on the road to Bernera through the villages of the Tir Mhor (big land).
The Bridge that connects Bernera to Lewis has a picnic area on the Bernera side, with parking and access to the standing stones above the bridge and Island notice board.
From Breaclete you can access the Norse Mill and Victorian Lobster Pond. Leaflets for these are available in the Museum, along with one which explains the Bernera Riot Cairn at the Tobson crossroads.
Breaclete also has a shop with petrol pumps.
